Google takes another shot at dominating the ebook market by launching its first ereader, as promised. Although technologically not a breakthrough, Google’s affordable ereader could prove a threat to the Kindle.
Flat screen TVs to grow by 1063% by 2015!!! Interesting projections by Mashable. Tablet growth by 750% is definitely foreseeable, and e-readers by 550% (and a good sign as well), but I am unsure about the 600% growth of the digital photo frame. Does anyone actually own one?
For some time, there has been a currency called ‘bitcoins’ (BTC) floating around. Using P2P technology, a program ‘rewards’ its users by giving them about 50 BTC every 10 minutes. BTC can later be used to purchase services or products on the web.
Unfortunately, it is a limited service and only 21million BTC are ever issued, and the government will eventually step into find ways of tracking and taxing the income.
Certainly a great idea in this economic climate, and 1BTC = around $8.
