This is over a year old now, but the robot teacher is probably one of the first attempts to introduce a robot into the regular curriculum. I think later attempts at creating robot nurses were perhaps more useful, as the medical workforce is shrinking in Japan as the population ages. Having a robot teacher that looks like a version CPO is a bit off-putting though, and I can imagine it would not be able to replace a regular instructor.
